Nancy MacArthur Smith's Voice Studio

"Nancy is a wonderful, skilled, kind and caring teacher who inspires her students to be their best. She helped my daughter find her confidence."  - Lori Damers

"Nancy provides an extremely supportive learning environment in her studio, which was absolutely crucial to my development as a performer. She always encouraged me to work hard to reach my goals and never give up on my dreams. Without Nancy’s constant wisdom and compassionate teaching, I would never have gained the confidence, opportunities, and success that I have today.”
- Amanda Mason

"From breathing through straws to lying on the floor with a textbook on her diaphragm, Carolyn will truly miss spending time with Nancy Smith. But beyond the technical aspects of singing, Carolyn has appreciated Nancy’s holistic approach to accessing one’s instrument. Nancy has always been willing to try different constructive approaches, never giving up and always looking ahead. This relentless, joyful perseverance has become a quality Carolyn admires greatly. "- Carolyn Best
"Noelle’s experiences with Nancy Smith have been life altering for her. She has truly benefited from her tutorage and guidance.  Nancy has helped her attain poise and confidence that will serve her well in every aspect of her life."

- Susan and Daniel Dent

"Not only is Nancy Smith overflowing with beneficial information about singing, but she knows the reasoning behind her techniques so you can fully understand how your voice works and how she helps you improve it.  Couldn't have found a more knowledgeable and caring teacher!"
- Kayla Blatman

"Nancy Smith provides a strong background in technique while embracing the individuality of each student, giving him/her input on repertoire. She regularly attends high school, community theater and professional theater performances of her voice students (past and present) which reflects her high level of commitment to celebrate their successes. Even after my daughter left Ms. Smith's studio to attend college, she continues to show interest in my daughter's professional development."
- Meg Mason, parent of former student Amanda Mason

"Nancy is a wonderful teacher and mentor. I completely have her to thank for helping me discover my coloratura and she is always such a reassuring presence. "
- Kristin Gavaza
